Coming Soon: Tamar's H.O.M.E.

MHT Family Life Center supports women transforming trauma into triumph.

Tamar's H.O.M.E. (Hope.Overcome.Mend.Empower)

Tamar’s H.O.M.E. will be an all-encompassing program designed to provide domestic violence support for Black women and girls who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma. This initiative will offer opportunities for education, training, pastoral counseling, temporary housing, and personal growth. Up to 10 teenage girls (ages 15–19) and 15 adult women (ages 25–55) who have faced domestic violence, sexual trauma, and homelessness due to sexual abuse will find refuge in this program. Its primary goal is to break the cycle of violence and homelessness while fostering empowerment for women, growth, healing, and participation in trauma recovery programs.

Our Mission

To provide domestic violence support, safe housing, educational and counseling services, as well as trauma recovery programs for Black women and Black teenage girls who are survivors of sexual trauma and seeking empowerment for women.

Our Vision

To help each survivor experience hope and find domestic violence support, we aim to overcome a harmful narrative and mend their negative self-identification and woundedness. This journey leads women to empowerment through trauma recovery programs, allowing them to re-author their stories from trauma to triumph and transform from brokenness to wholeness.
