Tamar’s H.O.M.E. will be an all-encompassing program designed to give Black women and girls survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma chances for education, training, pastoral counseling, temporary housing, and personal growth. Up to 10 teenage girls (ages 15–19) and 15 adult women (ages 25–55) who have experienced domestic violence, sexual trauma, and homelessness because of sexual abuse will be housed by the program, which aims to break the cycle of violence and homelessness while promoting growth, healing, and empowerment.
To provide safe housing, educational and counseling services, and training and development for Black women and Black teenage girls who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual trauma.
To help each survivor experience hope, overcome a harmful narrative, and mend their negative self-identification and woundedness, which leads them to empowerment through the re-authoring of their story from trauma to triumph and from brokenness to wholeness.
